JORGE BOSSO

JORGE BOSSO

composer and cello

During the last few years Bosso has composed music that has more to do with a conceptual idea, the research of a transcendental, metaphysical thought. Results of his compositional path are Kohelet; Duo I, Duo II and Duo III; Piano Trio, String Quartet N°1/Lachrymose; Requiem; MOSHEE; Bridges; Je Suis Surikov Kazakh Russe; Tre Meditazioni per coro misto e solo cello; AULULARIA. All of his works have been performed in different cities and countries: Russia, Austria, England, Switzerland, Israel, Turkey, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Croatia, USA, Spain, Norway, Sweden, to name but a few.
As a cellist he had the privilege to perform with such artists as Dora Schwarzberg, Ivry Gitlis, Martha Argerich, Lilya Zilberstein, some of these performances have been released by EMI. A turning point in his artistic life was the encounter and profound friendship with the renowned violinist Dora Schwarzberg with whom he created and performed a great number of his compositions. A significant result and outcome of their thoughts and ideas is the creation of the Bridges Festival in Tel Aviv.
During 2012 the RSI, Rete Due, (Italian Swiss Radio) produced and broadcasted Bosso’s cycle of 20 radio programmes Alla Ricerca del Tango Perduto. On January 2014 his version for cello and strings of Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas performed by Enrico Dindo and I Solisti di Pavia was released by DECCA.
